My husband is the only person in our house that is fluent in Spanish. However, it is not unusual for us to listen to Mexican music while playing English word games. Sometimes I feel badly because I/we never taught our children Spanish.

His mother speaks to me in Spanish and even though I understand her completely, I only speak to her in English. My mother-in-law has an excellent command of the English language and can beat all of us at Scrabble.
